Hi Psers. I have started another post, as hopefully this will get some more traction, with a clearer topic/title for my ask.

I bought a buttercup setting earrings. Did not realize it needed retipping. The earrings have a beautiful patina. Its 10k gold. The seller did not mention this in their post.

I have 30 days to return it.

Is it hard to keep the integrity if the look after retipping? Can they match 10k gold nicely?

Thanks.

I don’t think integrity will be an issue but retipping is usually a cost per prong so depending on how many need attention it could turn out to be rather costly.

They are pretty earrings though. I would take them to a good jeweler and get a quote, just make sure you are keeping them for sure before getting any work done. Most sellers won’t refund after an item is altered in any way.
