I am looking for an ideal cut, 1 carat diamond, GIA certified. I have found one with the following specs. Can you please suggest if it''s a good deal? Also, can somebody suggest a good appraiser in the baltimore area.

How do you know it's an ideal cut? The numbers you posted don't tell too much.

One note is that if this is a true 1.0c stone...I'd be a little wary...mostly because at times to get that 1c perfect weight (to be able to call it a true 1c stone and charge much more than a .98c stone) sometimes the cutters will try to add the extra carat weight to make that $$ marker, and give the stone a thicker girdle or a little more depth. Neither of which really adds much to the stone if it's not cut right--you don't see any of it in the diameter up top anyway. Your girdle notation below doesn't have a value?
