Is having both 10pt and 15pt round brilliant eternity band redundant?

Hi all!!

My wedding band is a round brilliant eternity band with 10 pointer diamonds in bar setting. I originally planned to wear it with my ering, and I think it’s a good size for stacking with my other rings

I also wear it alone sometimes but if worn by itself, I feel the stones could be a tad bit bigger. Today I went to see the eternity band with 15 pointers in shared prong setting and I thought it was the perfect size to wear alone! I tried the 20 pointers too but I felt it was a bit too big for me right now so I don’t think I can pull it off...

Do you think it will be redundant to have both eternity bands, one with 10 pt and one with 15 pt, but in two different settings? To me the settings look very different and serve different purposes, but I need to convince my husband of the same.

It's not rebundant if you're a PS member, otherwise it is because "common" people don't get it.
Instead of asking to your husband, buy the new eternity band with your own money, problem solved.

I dont think it is redundant. They offer subtly different looks. If you are able to comfortably afford it then i don't see why not.

However, if you have other jewelry desires then that "subtle difference" might not be worth prolonging in bringing home other pieces that you have your eye and heart on.

Don’t forget about diamond shrinkage syndrome either! While the 20 pointers might feel big on your finger now (since you’re used to looking at 10) I think you’ll quickly become very comfortable with the size...and be giving yourself some nice variety at the same time.

Thanks for the advice. I will go back to the store to take a look at the 15 and 20s again to see which one I prefer. Will think long and hard about it!

I actually feel “less bad” about getting the 20s than 15s...since I know it will look significantly more different than my 10 pointers
