Is a good i-Color stone going to look yellow at all? Fluorescence helpful here?

I am shopping for diamonds with a friend and he saw a 1.60ct diamond that was an I color. The stone looks amazing, and the seller, who I trust, says it is right at the top of the I chart so it is a good I. This stone also has some faint fluorescence.

Would this stone shine with any yellowish tint? Is the Fluorescence helpful in this situation or should Fluorescence be stayed away from wherever possible?

To the untrained eye the diamond did not look any worse when compared to a G and an H.

Should he consider the I WITH Fluorescence, or keep looking?

I is a big range of color - so it might be true.
Probably you will see the color in North daylight when you look from a side view.

I prefer Medium to Very strong blue to make any real difference

Thanks for the reply Garry, that helps me understand better.

If you can, please take a quick look at the full stats on a diamond a friend is considering here:
