Is a 3/4ct Radiant cut very small?

I'm not sure of the size of radiant cuts compared to other fancy cuts (emerald cut) for example...

It's all about mm size of the individual stone.

When you look at stones, look at their dimensions (which are shown in millimeters, or mm). Websites will show you mm size, as will GIA/AGS/other certificates.

check the diameter (mm dimension) of a well cut round; now compare to the dimensions of any radiant you are considering

Well, no. That doesn't tell you anything about whether a radiant looks large or small for its size, or how well cut it is. A square radiant for example is always going to be "smaller" than an equivalent weight round but measured in sq mm a rectangular radiant may not be. The round isn't the standard by which everything is judged.

It depends on the eventual setting, one's own lifestyle and perhaps social circle too, and finger size, etc. etc...

No hard and fast rules as the others have already commented.

To give you an idea, I have a .75, H colored radiant that has a 1:1.07 ratio. Pictured next to a .50 radiant cut D4128E86-F939-4255-ABFA-3F076B010268.jpeg 755D6160-0162-4825-9862-B00884961CCF.jpeg

I am wondering how a radiant cut would look in a tapered baguette style? JA is having a setting sale :D

LOVE them! Do you feel the .50ct is rather dainty compared to the .75ct or do you think the .75 is a decent size?

don't tempt me, there is a .70 radiant I have been crushing on that I'd love as a rhr in a david yurman type twist setting.

Go for it!! We only have one life!! I am debating a .75ct radiant in a YG tapered baguette setting. Trying to go a little vintage ;-)

Sadly, not to be, I've already done too much pandemic spending this year.

Why not post a link to the setting so people know what you're talking about?

Edit...I looked it up...here is the link. Not my favorite look but I'm not a big baguette fan but in general looks good.

This is a .77 CT L radiant. I think it is a nice size.

For clarity, can you go lower w/ a Radiant cut? Like an SI1 or SI2? are inclusions visible to the naked eye?

Noticed: www E/SI - it is a modified radiant cut with a step crown, resembling Tiffany's True cut; this is the brightest of several around .7 cts.

There's a G VS2 same cut, that's the one I've been watching.

It depends on each stone, but because they are very crushed ice looking, inclusions tend to hide better.
