Is 60/60 a bad proportion for a round diamond- can we trust a GIA "EX" cut grade?

David, if the point is to study the potential beauty of 60/60 diamonds, the one you pick as an example should make your heart sing and dance. It shouldn't just look pretty good to you--it should look fantastic. Otherwise it won't be a good example of what you love about 60/60s.

David try for one of these combos:
GIA report numbers:
40.8 pavilion
33.5 crown
80% lower halfs.
stars 50-55 either is fine.

GIA report numbers:
40.8 pavilion
34 crown
80% lower halfs.
stars 50-55 either is fine.

GIA report numbers:
41 pavilion
33 crown
80% lower halfs.
stars 50-55 either is fine.

Then see how close to the HW diamonds it is.

Agreed, I''ll keep looking.....
Storm- I''m betting you won''t be wrong, but I''m not going to look using any other pameters than EX/ or VG cut grade, 60/60 ( or very close to).
That would make it a "blinder" comparison. It will validate what you''re saying if what I''m talking about matches.
