My wonderful hubby was going to surprise me with a pair of earrings, unfortunely he knows I'm very picky so he let me in on the secret.
Here's the back story:

He contacted Victor Canera for a pair of round sapphire studs with diamond halo, but he then thought that I might not like round cut as normally I pick everything cushion. So then he changes the cut to cushion lol. Then he asked me if I'd like a pair of sapphire earrings- and I told him maybe when I get a little older, right now I'm still young and like bling -a-liciousness, and he looked at me and said " using words like that prove you aren't mature enough yet lol" .sapphires are my birth stone, but I don't have a pair of nice diamond earrings and I feel like every girl needs a pair of diamond earrings.

So he contacts VC again for some antique cushion diamonds, and our budget is 5k for the stones, which I will hold for a few months and then send to VC for a pave double halo.

Now my questions
1. Does anyone think that I can get a nice pair of cushions for that price?
2. Does anyone know what his diamond upgrade policy is?
3. Who else should I contact about this project? Sk or LM ???
4. Do you ever feel guilty for making so many changes during a project?? I never do since its something I plan to keep forever & I want it to be done to my liking- my husband is the total opposite, his very kind, shy, quiet and never wants inconvenience others.

I truly think round brilliants are going to show up better than any other diamonds on the ears. Cushion shapes will have to be positioned just right. And getting a perfect match isn't easy, either. Plus, with rounds you can start out with a small pair and upgrade later if you use one of the vendors that does upgrades! I would strongly recommend having jackets made rather than setting them in a halo setting so you could potentially use the jackets with pearls, sapphires, etc.

I would stick with Victor but if you need a second quote, I'd ask Steven Kirsch as they are the two best, in my opinion.

(Oh, and by the way, the sapphire halo studs on Victor's site are mine! I love them, but I definitely had diamond studs first! ;)) )
