I don''t know if this was ever decided. I would love to see what other PSers have to sell and know that I was investing wisely. I would also love to have an appreciative customer base for anything I was looking to rehome.

I'm much more inclined to buy something I like if I "recognize" the owner, and we often hear about PSers selling things - would be nice not to have to scour the internet to try to track them down, since they can't point us on the message boards

I hope so too. I''m wondering why someone hasnt dopped by this thread to set us straight either way.

Can you imagine loving something someone else has and all of a sudden they are going to sell it? It would be perfect and you know you would get a great deal and a great rock!
 
I would love that. I always have stuff to re-home so I can buy more! I''ve used other boards with a lot of success. Never had anything go wrong in 20+ transactions.
 
I really like this idea. I have seen this work on other forums. They do have restrictions, however. You need to be a long-term member/poster and write a letter stating your case for the joining the marketplace. As member of the MP, you are rated in the same way that a seller/buyer is rated on ebay. If someone is shilling, you need to be able to report them to admin. I''m really excited by this idea

I think this would be a wonderful idea. Tough to administer, maybe, but oh-so-worth it in terms of added value ....
 
I like the idea of an application to list. Maybe there could even be volunteer moderators.
 
Would love love this feature but I can imagine myself going poor!

I know on the **edited by moderator to remove forum name**.. you have to meet a certain criteria before you can sell.

I think a marketplace would be fantastic and would really add to PS.
 
It is something we are considering for the future but will not be happening with the transition to 2.0.

bummer....I wish we did have one.... or something to sell some of our bridal stuff...but I understand why its hard to get them to moderate it.
