So I ordered my $30 scale ...
Several irritations.
Mostly with UPS.
But then another with the manufacturer.
GRRRR! :angryfire:

Yesterday Amazon Prime / UPS tracking said it would be derived to our house yesterday by 9 PM.
It wasn't.
Then I went online and tracking it said delivery failed, nobody to sign for it.
WHAT?
It's just a $30 scale, I didn't ask for Signature Required?
GRRRR! :angryfire:

I then checked the front porch and there was a UPS Post-It on the door saying it will be delivered to UPS retail location X near our house.

But then first thing this morning I checked UPS tracking and it said it was on the truck for delivery by 9 PM. HUH? What?
GRRR! :angryfire:

So I stayed home all day, even though I was supposed to go out for important work.
I wait, and wait, and wait, by 6:30 PM I check UPS tracking again.
Then it said it was delivered at 11:00 AM, and signature is on file.
Huh? What? It ain't on my porch and I didn't see anyone or sign anything.

So, I call UPS' 800 number.
I futilely tried to reach a human becayse none of their farking options ... press 1 for this, press 2 for that, matched my need.
Finally I get to a farking message saying it WAS delivered to UPS retail location X at 11:00 AM and says they are open tomorrow from X to Y O:clock
Being only 6:30 I wonder if they are open till 7 PM but there's no way to find out using thier farking voice mail options.

GRRRR! :angryfire:

So, furious and frustrated I hang up and google the local UPS location X and call them.
Sure nuff, they are open for another 30 minutes so I rush over and get my package.

I open it at home and it looks great.
I start peeling off the protective plastic coatings.
But one little white opaque one won't come off.
IT'S UNDER THE PLASTIC COVER FOR THE DISPLAY.
UNDER IT!

Can anyone here with psychic powers tell if that says 6.2 oz or 5.2 oz?
So, I need to return it to Amazon prime.

Manufacturing defect ... Not my fault.
Do I have to pay for return shipping to Amazon Prime?

not on defective products.
upload the pic when you process the return if it offers that option.

Would you agree this pic of the penny's reflection proves that white thing is UNDER the display's cover?

That's the reason why I love my mechanical gram scale. Nothing to screw up. No LCD.

No, just call Amazon and speak with a person and they will refund your money and probably tell you not to even bother returning it.
Here is the Amazon phone #.

Same, the last defect item I had, they just had me keep the item and sent a new one.

What is this miracle of which you speak!? It is possible to make contact and speak with an actual human?

Yasss, miracles exist. I have spoken with Amazon customer service many times and they have always been pleasant to deal with and have always made things right.
