Ack! The new pictures are ADORABLE! I love that Taji was walking around under Juba''s belly for protection! Single tear! They look like they are TROUBLE together-you better watch out!

P.S. Your cat tree is amazing! Where did you find that?

Got the cat tree from http://www.hdw-inc.com/felinefurniture.htm It took about 4 months from time of order to delivery. Juba Kai likes sitting up top surveying his kingdom

I am a card-carrying dog person (mostly because I''m ridiculously allergic to cats) but your kitties are downright gorgeous! What beautiful, expressive creatures they are!

The two of them are ADORABLE and so exotic looking. Looks like you are going to have so much fun with them around to entertain you. Do you put up a Christmas tree? I was just thinking how "interesting" that would be. LOL.

OMG they are beautiful! And they seem like a lot of fun! My husband is deathly allergic to cats so no kitties for me.

I''ll have to enjoy yours instead.

What a sweet face!

He''s adorable - best of luck with him.

Hahah, oh my gosh, they are ADORABLE, Matata!!! But you mentioned that they get seriously attached to their owners, right? How do they handle things when you go away on vacation? Do you board them somewhere? Have a cat-sitter? Do you take them with you or just never leave the house?

They do get attached to their owners which means it''s difficult to find a new home for an older Savannah if you''re forced to. However, when properly socialized, they do just great meeting and greeting people who come to the house. I''ve always had the cat sitter come and visit a few days a week over a period of 2-3 weeks to let new cats get acquainted with her. We had Juba a short 3 weeks when we took off to Europe for 2 weeks and he did just fine. Now Auntie Ruth is visiting with Taji and they''re getting to know each other.

Juba loves to go for walks on a leash and he meets lots of people in the neighborhood (and their doggies) so he''s not afraid of strangers and loves the chance to play with pooches. When Taji is older, I''ll leash train him too and I''ve no doubt that he''ll become as comfortable with strangers as Juba.

You know... most of the time I say I''m a "dog person" who thinks cats are cute but seriously Matata... you''re KILLING me over here!! I LOVE your little guys so much! I wonder if one would get along with my boxer, Riley?!

Do it, do it, do it! I am the Great Enabler, tempting the innocent, corrupting your peaceful existence. I have no doubt that a Savannah kitten would be a great companion for a pooch. When I take Juba Kai for walks around the neighborhood, we often meet pooches who are also out for a walk and he tries to get them to play with him. The dogs who live with cats will play with him and the others look at him like he''s from another planet

lol!! You are the great enabler... I have been researching them and falling more in love, but the prices!! WOAH! It seems you definitely get what you pay for though, their personalities seem amazing!
Your Maggie is a pretty girl... she looks so resigned in the photo!

Oh Matata! Love the new pictures (and thanks for the Chile update, too!

) Gorgeous, wonderful kitties!!!

Tell me, tell me, are Savannahs generally LAP CATS????! I really need to know this!!!

My sweet Ragdoll, Boo, is 100 ways of gentle, loving and wonderful -- but he is much more of a want-to-be-near-you type of kitty than a want-to-be-ON-you LAP CAT. Dang him anyway!!!

Eeek, tough question. Both of mine will snuggle in our laps a few times a week and they love to snuggle up against us in bed or while we''re on the couch. You get lots of head butts from Savannas and big purrs that make up for the intermittent lap dances. I think a lot of it depends on how the breeder socializes them. I really don''t think the generation (F1,F2 etc) has as much to do with it as the way the breeder raises them.

I am so, so jealous!

I have had Siamese most of my life and they are like velcro as well. I would love to get a Siamese or a Savannah, but sadly DH is super allergic to cats.

Even sadder, he is a huge cat lover - he discovered he was allergic when he was given one for his 17th birthday. She ended up living with his father until she died a year ago.

I''m trying to find someone with a Sphynx so that I can see how he gets on with a hairless cat.

I so wish that they would discover some treatment for allergies of this sort - perhaps Obama''s eldest daughter having a dog allergy might help towards getting more research done...

Anyway, just to say that your beasties are truly beautiful and I hope you have years of fun and enjoyment with them!

Your kitties are so cute. They look like they get on well

I love this photo! I love Juba''s little black nose... how cute!

Where did you get those leopard print tunnels? Do they fold up well for storage? Those look like hours of fun for kitties!
