 greatgoshalmighty... that's fantastic!

Very beautiful!!! We need more info on specs!

My gosh! Thank you SO much for the compliments! It's a 1.4 OEC Tranny H SI1 / 6.5 / 7mm
I love the chunky facets! I fell in love with it. It's almost 100 yrs old (90) (diamond & setting).
It is so white and shines bright white even in dark spaces. I never loved diamonds before, only settings, and then I discovered this treasure. I always was planning on buying the setting first, then the stone. Then I found this; I happened upon it. and I always wanted a D, remember? This is so white and even when it doesn't look white in certain lighting, I still love it for the unique cut. The chunky facets and the way it flashed and the bright white color and soft sparkle did it. I will post a hand shot:
I was thinking of changing the setting to a Single Stone setting or the 2620, but I love the original setting as well.

Your ring is beautiful! Congratulations! :appl:

No no please!!!! Don't change this beautiful setting! Your ring is fantastic, so feminine, delicate and, in the same time, look more than is carat size!

yeah I wouldn't change the setting...it is gorgeous!!

Omg, how gorgeous!!! I wouldn't change a thing - you've got an original there, it's the real deal! In fact, I'm impressed by the good condition it's in. It's stunning, and looks wonderful on you, congrats!

It is so beautiful! Do you mind telling us where you got such a gorgeous stone and setting?

Many thanks!

Beautiful! I love both the diamond and the setting. I personally wouldn't change it, but I am sure it will look pretty either way.

Gorgeous ring in the rose pics.

My thoughts exactly Junebug!!!
Congrats on your gorgeous ring...it looks stunning on you and IMO you shouldn't change a thing about it :appl:

Oh that is so stunning! Love both the setting and the stone. Is the stone 7mm and your ring size a 6.5? Of course you have to go with what you want regarding the setting but that one is beautiful. Got any photos of the other settings you were wanting? :naughty:

I totally understand what you mean by just thinking about the setting before. I was the same until I discovered the wonderful world of OMC, OEC and trannys. After that I wanted both, :D.

Don't you love the knowledge of knowing that what you have on your finger is nearly 100 years old? Got any side photos for us? Pretty please.

Gorgeous, I would not change a thing.

So beautiful! Congratulations!

What a fabulous find - it is perfect! I wouldn't change a thing but would take many more pics for us!

Gorgeous stone and setting. . .

That's one beautiful ring! It sure is going to turn some heads! Congrats!!

Absolutely Stunning! Thanks for sharing!

It is so, so beautiful. Might I ask where you purchased this beauty?

I wouldn't change a thing if it were mine... It's stunning!!

It is lovely! I wouldn't change a thing either! Congrats on your engagement and stunning ring!

Congratulations on your engagement!

Your ring is STUNNING! I love it. I wouldn't change a thing.

Gorgeous ring!

What a great find! That stone is gorgeous

Hi everyone and thank you so much for your kind compliments! :wavey: It makes me happy because I wanted to be sure. I'm trying to remember all questions (because I can't see the posts in the reply mode) - yes my finger is 6.5 and the stone is 7mm. It is not certified and the jeweler thought it could be higher than an H and cleaner too, but I didn't want to disturb it for a cert. :|

I will take more pics this by weekend - I have to find a new rose to prop it up. I will take pics outside this time. These were all taken in a filtered sunlit room. I have 2 pics to share now... Will get better ones this weekend. :cheeky:

The rings I like are the Tacori 2620 (but very expensive you know?) and the Single Stone settings, but like you all said, the original is nice in itself and how can I be the one who changes it when it lasted all those years!? I don't think I could do it.

The stone looks clear, like I can see through the other side. With modern cuts, that would be faceted, right?? :read:
I happen to love that feature though. Yes it's wild that this was around that long ago and has seen so many different eras. It is amazing.
