Hello Everyone...

I just wanted to let everyone know I became a new father on July 30th, 2009 at 420AM.

Jadon was 8lbs. 6 oz. and 23 inches long.

This little guy came after 8 years and the doctors telling us we could not have a child and the chances of conceiving were slim to none.
So with that in mind we were really stunned amd elated back in November when we got the news.

I have been absent from the forum for a time and find time now and again to pop in and give my 2 cents.

I wanted to share the news with everyone though...

I also have a new found respect for women after watching my poor wife go through labor with our son.

Some say it is an experience and speaking from experience, I can say I was a bit traumatized after watching my wife go through the pain.

So everyone welcome Jadon

My wife and I decided to stick witht he J names since my borther, his kids and myself are all J''s.

Regina and I met and she had a 6 year old daughter from a previous marriage. She is turning 16 and is a sophmore in highscool now..

The time does go by fast...Its amazing how much babies change from week to week. He is turning 3 weeks tomorrow and already I notice he is much more alert and starting to grab things with his hands reaching out...

What a lucky boy having a 16 year old sister! What does his sister think of having a new baby brother? Does she live iwth you?

High school scares me. My son is still in Jr. High and I have one more year until high school. That makes me feel old! But my baby is starting kindergarden so that makes me feel less old


Those first weeks and months are so amazing. They change so fast.

Again, he is soo cute!

How amazing he came into the world when you were told it was not possible.

And yes, appreciate what your wife went through. I did it 4x and the prize at the end is worth it for sure, its not easy being pregnant or giving birth! Labor is not fun for sure, but what a prize that makes it worth it

April lives with us and pretty much considers me her father.. She is excited to have a brother.

She was not at first because she wanted a sister, but now that he''s here she is thrilled.

As far as high school goes I would say it depends on how open a relationship you have with your kids will make all the difference. Each one is different, but Regina and I lucked out with April because she is real open with us and always has been. Shes going to be 16 and still tells on herself when she does something wrong. I think your going to be fine...
