I so love this site! It has been most helpful and so I am asking for help yet again. In my search for the right diamond, I have come across the term "feather" in clarity characteristics. It was defined as internal cracking. Does this mean that the stone could possibly crack further and that the feather could become larger?

Hi Bora

A “feather or “glets” is usually a term that refers to cracks perpendicular to the cleavage plan that have a white feathery appearance. (see image)They are often a cohesion weakness of the carbon atoms and certainly can expand under internal pressure.
