interesting e-bay stone

Personally, I dislike round bi-colours. It seems like the colours mix too much, ending up with a murky stone that doesn't really show off the 2 colours.

This. Not only that, but that vendor has a tendency to bump up the saturation and the main photo doesn't show tremendous saturation to begin with, so I'd let it go. On the flip side, you would stand a good chance of picking it up for a song, cuz I don't think there would be a bidding war over it.

It is a very unusual stripe or band across the middle of the sapphire. Interesting but not particularly attractive. The type that is usually collected has a very sharp and clear line where the colouration differs. This one is a little splotchy in areas. What I don't get is in one of the pictures, has it been photoshoped to practically glow brighter than my desk lamp?

Interesting!

However, I would also fear that it might be murky IRL.

I bought a stone from them recently - and wasn't impressed. As Minou has said, the photos are NOT realistic. Interestingly I bought a colour change gemstone that has zero colour change! I won't buy from them again.

Whilst I love colour change / unusual gemstones and this sort of stone is exactly what I go for BUT I doubt you'll get a stone that looks like this so I'd pass. Sorry!

It's sold, but I'd fear it would look kind of muddy/murky too. Those 2 colors in a round cut kind of make me urp, to put it gracefully.
