I have enough pave halo settings for my rings, but I'm looking for interesting retro or modern mountings for colored stones.

Right now the only one I can think of is Chrono's amazing chrysoberyl ring. Does anyone have another examples with minimum diamonds? I'd love to see pictures.

Here's my contribution from Jeweleyeful (Lana Doolaege).

I don't think he takes outside stones.

Ooh, thanks for the rec of a "new" artisan! I love what I've seen on her Etsy site so far!

Very few of my colored stone pieces have diamonds or other sidestones. Most are probably too simple to be called "interesting," but here are the ones that fit the bill:

Will be thinking of ideas to contribute..

Uppy,
I'm a borrower of ideas. I am not artistic enough to think of anything original for my rings. Therefore, one of my future projects is inspired by a Greenlake setting that will be heavily modified. It's a great place for eye candy, isn't it?

Wow... love some of those Greenlake designs. I also really like some of the T.Lee designs, too. Sorry, don't know how to link.

I love Greenlake designs. Here's a couple I'd saved.

I saved that top one too. I think it would be easy to modify or adapt.

This is from the same woman who did my triple stone earrings.

Granted, some of these are way over the top but cool for design inspiration!

I also like this guy's stuff, especially the earrings and necklaces.

Kismet, what is the stone in that first ring and where is the setting from? It's sooo beautiful!

It's not mine but I'm pretty sure he said it was an aquamarine. It's done by the guy who's going to set my black opal. His shop is called Seven Fingers Jewelers.

Oh my gosh, his work is amazing! Reminds me of VC (I think you mentioned this also.). I'm really excited to see how your black opal turns out :appl:

Sorry for this threadjack, Uppy...

No theadjack at all. I'm drooling over all these things too!! I love being shown new sites and new artists. And this Seven Fingers truly IS an artist!! I can't wait to see your completed ring, Kismet!

And check out their loose gems - lots of Dryer stones and a killer Mahenge pear pair.

Here are some setting I had saved on my computer. I apologize in advance - I don't have credits attached to many of these. That's something I've recently started doing when I save pictures. If something I post is yours, please let me know so I can save it for future reference.
