My educated guess? More than likely because they are insuring my little lab spinel. I had to send in the separate info from my setting purchase and a receipt from the spinel purchase since they weren't together at the time of purchase. And they changed recently. They will want pictures of your item on their backdrop. They'll email it to you.
I would call to make sure but I don't see why they wouldn't if they are my piece
