Insurance Question

I had a question about which insurance company to insure my Tiffany Novo engagement ring through. I really need to get this ring insured and after reading some advice from previous posts I looked into Jewlers Mutual. They seemed to be the best company to go through, but when I was putting together all the information they would need to finalize the process I noticed a quote that said something like, "replacing with a like item"?

The information I read through from Tiffany said to go through a company that does not replace with "like" items.

I have looked a lot but at this point I am unsure who to go through. I just want to make sure, that if anything happens to my ring I will be able to go back to Tiffany and get it replaced or fixed by them. Any advice I can obtain would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your time.

Jewelers Mutual does offer an agreed value policy for higher premiums (40% more) where you would get a check for the agreed amount if anything happens. You might want to call and ask them about this as they don't offer it on their website. I had to get the normal policy and then ask in writing for the agreed value policy.

I think you'd be safest of all having a Tiffany ring. There is no other source than Tiffany to replace your branded ring! When there is a disagreement over the replacement item, my understanding is that they will cut a check.
