Insurance in NY?

What with the new pendant-stone coming and my realization that something hanging from a little thin chain on my neck might be vulnerable, I''m thinking the time has come to insure get insurance.

(Yes, this means I''ve been wearing my ring and everything without insurance for ages. Knock wood!)

I''m renting in NYC, so if I can find some all-inclusive renter''s insurance with a jewelry rider and a way to add the loose pendant-stone during setting that will be ideal. Whom do you guys use, and/or whom would you recommend?

For renters I use Travelers Ins. with an added valuable articles policy. I don''t think they''ll just do a valuable articles policy. Can always check though.

But if you just want to insure one thing, jewelers mutual may come out to be cheaper than travelers, and i know I feel more comfortable having jewelers mutual for my e-ring.

Not sure if Chubb will insure you without a renters policy unless it''s over a certain amount.

I have Chubb for my jewelry and Traveler''s for my rental insurance. For my jewelry I have a policy for my engagement ring and a policy that is up to $5,000 for everything else.
