Insurance for a loose stone while it's being set

I have e-mailed a few insurance companies and none of them will insure a loose diamond while it is being set.
The Jewellers who are going to set it, will not take responsibility if any damage is caused by them to the stone.

Is there an insurance company in the UK who will insure for this, and is it normal for jewellers not to be covered by their own policy for such work?

Thanks in advance

Phil

There is one in the US, but I don't know about the UK. But most jewelers here will only insure stones they sold during setting. That is why we usually encourage people to choose setting through the diamond vendor when possible. It makes it so much easier!

Hopefully someone from the UK will see this. You might need to start a new thread with UK in the title, though.
