Now that I have (probably) found my perfect diamond (see https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/buying-my-first-diamond.242104/), it's time for the next step > the setting! 
(The ring will be custom made by my jeweller here in Australia.)
This is the diamond: mixed/radiant cut, 1.09ct/J/VVS1/XX/XX/NF/6.53*5.40

These are some of my inspiration rings. I keep finding rings with a halo though but mine won't have a halo, so inspiration needed please most photos are of a top view but I would love to see the side view, thank you!
While I really like this, I don't think I'd be comfortable with the diamond being so "bare"? Like I would be scared of it falling out..
Which is why I think this Tiffany setting is "safer":
I really want a sapphire (one on each side) in the ring too, like this (with a halo though

Cathedral setting (Tiffany setting in a V) with the sapphires will be something like this (don't mind my Paint skills..):
The band will have 0.5ct tw, I'm thinking something like this:
I haven't figured the right prongs and amount of diamonds on each side out yet. I'd like the wedding band to be matching too and have read about being aware of bands damaging the prongs. Suggestions welcome!

I do like the sapphire on the side (not on the band), haven't thought of that option. Thanks
