Hi, I need some helping deciding between these 2 stones. I am leaning more towards number 1 as it has a smaller table with thicker stars compared to number 2. However I noticed some brown tinge in stone 1, would that just be reflections off other surfaces while the photograph was taken or is it within the diamond?

Here are the specs of each:

Diamond 1:
1 ct
H
Depth: 60.6
Table: 57
Crown Angle: 34
Crown Height: 14.5
Pavilion Angle: 40.8
Pavilion Depth: 43
Star Length: 50
Lower Half: 75

Diamond 2:
1 ct
H
Depth: 61.1
Table: 58
Crown Angle: 34
Crown Height: 14
Pavilion Angle: 40.8
Pavilion Depth: 43
Star Length: 50
Lower Half: 80

Thanks all!

It's probably reflecting something in the environment. I'd also pick #1 for the reasons you mentioned though.

#1 is the clear winner if it is eyeclean.

Thanks for the replies! They are definitely eye clean as they are both VVS1.

Any more inputs on diamond #1 based on the measurements and the photos? Would it be considered a hearts and arrows diamond? Does anybody see anything negative about it?

Hi all, unfortunately diamond 1 does have the brown tinge so I will pass on it. I don't think I'll go with diamond 2.

What do you guys think about this one?

The newest one looks good. What are the numbers? Unless there is a cultural reason that you want VVS clarity, I will tell you that you can expand your search to VS1 because those are so clean it is hard to find the inclusions with a loupe.

Hi thanks for the reply. I am actually looking for VS2+ but can't seem to find anything from VS2 to VVS2. Do you see any flaws for this stone? The V's seem a bit off to me.

Here are the specs:

1.1 ct

VVS1

H

depth 61.8

table 56

crown angle 34.5

crown height 15.5

pavilion angle 40.8

pavilion depth 43

star length 50

lower half 80

girdle medium to slightly thick 3.5%

culet none

There is NOTHING wrong with that stone that you will be able to tell when it's set. I promise.

Thanks for the reply! For the amount of money I will be spending and just knowing it isn't a good hearts and arrows will bother me. I've been searching for 2 months as I'm very picky :|

Would you purchase this stone for $8300 usd?

I wouldn't pay for VVS clarity. But yes, if I was willing to spring for it, that would be a nice stone.

Hi all, I've found 2 more stones. The optical symmetry for diamond 1 is off but the aset image looks very good. Diamond 2 has better symmetry but the aset image shows a lot of green and comparing with aset charts, this is only an average.

Seems like I am having a very hard time finding one. Am I being too picky? I want everything to be perfect but most importantly the cut.
