I'm almost ready to pull the trigger and purchase my diamond engagement ring, but I just wanted to get some input from a few experts here on one of my choices. The obvious concern for this particular rock is all of the indented naturals.

GIA: 6212192636

Here's a link to the GIA report PDF: http://goo.gl/Z0CglV

I've seen the stone in person and couldn't make out any of these inclusions even with a 10x loupe, and I did notice it has a particularly large table.

My budget is about $15,000 to $20,000 and I'm looking at cushion cuts in the 1.6-2.0 carat range.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi. You may also want to ask the vendor about this about the strong blue fluorescence to make sure the diamond isn't milky or hazy. And with the large table, I think the diamond may be fairly flat on top. What the experts may ask you is what color grade you are good to and what clarity as well since you already stated budget and carat size.

For future reference, it is easier to see the report if you just post the link from the GIA site so people don't have to download it to their computer.

The stone has a large table and that's about all I can tell you from the report. You absolutely have to have magnified pictures of the stone. You cannot choose any fancy shape diamond from the report. Many cushions are awful and you have to see them to choose the needles in the haystack.

The strong FL is usually not an issue with higher clarity stones. Please post magnified pictures and we can tell you more.
