Hello,

I am looking to purchase cushion cut diamond. The one I have interest in has a hairline feather in the girdle bottom portion of the diamond that can be felt with my fingernail. A bit concerned, price is 12,900. Info. below to review.
Measurements 8.34 - 7.33 x 4.38mm
total depth: 59.8%
total width: 70%
crown height: 9%
pavilion dpeth: 37%
girdle thickness: slightly thick, faceted
polish: good
symmetry: very good
cutlet: none
clarity grade: SI1
color grade: F
florescence: none

I am also considering another cushion cut and don''t have the cert. yet, but I will list what I know so far.
Color grade: J/K
clarity grade: VS1
Carat weight is: 2.40
symmetry: good
no apparant imperfections to the girdle.
Cost 12,400.
Table width seems just a tad smaller
Depth is more than above
seems more sturdy

Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated...signed...almost engaged

Hello;

the proportions on the first stone look quite bad. The table is very large and the crown and pavilion are both shallow. Also, from your data it looks an EGL Israel report, which is no good either.

Also, the weight on the first stone may be helpful.

thanks giangi...the weight on the first stone is 2.01.

what are your credentials? Do you have any recommendations with the info I provided thus far on the second stone (or) info. on what would be an ideal cut for a cushion or an asher cut?
