Information overload

12 years ago, my husband proposed with a beautiful ring with a .5 carat center stone. I live in Dallas and I'm looking to change my center stone. My finger is a size 4, so I want to go to .80-1.0 carat. Researching stones and wondering if I'll be able to find a stone in my budget (4500-5000). I've looked online for stones, but I wonder is that a good option and will I have a problem finding a jeweler to switch out the stones (keeping my original stone to wear in a necklace).

There is so much information online its information overload.

Is my budget realistic?
