Got this Indocolite 6.45 ct
RI 1.624ish

Any suggestion what best to do with it. Sell as is or have it recut?

The stone is extremely included and likely cracked. I'm not a gem cutter, but I doubt that it could withstand a recut. I also don't know who would purchase such a stone, as it appears to be basically worthless, but if you have a buyer, go for it.

I didnt attemp to sell it. Just thinking it looks quite wortless in its current state. Really lousy cut etc. A properly facetted stone may come out at a nice value. Considering the rare color.

It's a nice colour but not rare.

Again, I think the gem would be destroyed in the cutting process as it is already internally fractured - meaning that either there would be nothing left to save or that the stone would entirely crumble during cutting.

Ok,thanks.
Was curious. Got a very nice gem collection after my father but this and some others were just kept loose in a ziplock. Now I know the reason...:)
Thanks again.

I think this is a stone I would pass off as-is to not a jewelry fanatic (as most PS'ers are), but to someone believing in crystal healing, for crystal healing purposes.
