Hi All,
How concerned should I be about an indented natural in a VS2 stone? The indented natural is on the pavillion side (at the girdle) but can also be seen through the crown (at 10x magnification). Will this weaken the stone or affect its appearance in any way?
Also, is it safe to cover the indented natural with a prong when setting the stone? Or will that be more harmful to the stone (since a lot of pressure will be put on that area during the setting process and hitting that prong against something will cause a direct hit to the indented natural)?
