Hi,
I've been a longtime reader on PS, and after reading everyone's feedback and gaining knowledge into the diamond buying industry, I've finally bought my first diamond.

It's an SI1 clarity...very clean based on the GIA report, however i'm concerned about inclusions on my diamond that is NOT reflected on the GIA report. Could I have the wrong GIA report, or did I get the wrong diamond?

This is the GIA plot:

This image below shows you that there is an inclusion at the bottom at #2 (which is correctly reflected on the GIA report-cluster of crystals), HOWEVER the #1 and #3 inclusions are no where to be seen on the report.

Most likely they are reflections of the same inclusion, be sure to check the inscription when you receive the stone

Yes I agree that could be the case, however, we see that more often with pavillion inclusions. The plot of the pavillion does show two inclusions which could potentially be reflected into the top of the stone.

Also, not all inclusions are plotted. Check the comments section.

Once you have the stone you can take it to a reputable appraiser to help you verify the facts or you can loupe, measure and read the laser if you trust your own expertise. But I think it never hurts to get a second opinion especially since an appraisal will be required for insurance.
