I thought this was kind of neat. I have a tiny little chip that I have inflicted on one of the facets of my Andalusite. So I took a loupe to it and took a pic thru the loupe with the flash, It's a strange world inside that gem.

Here is is- before the tiny chip. You can't really see the chip unless you loupe it- one day I hope to get it polished out.

What an interesting photo! Did you use a regular large loupe? Incredible! Andalusite is such an interesting stone!

The insides of stones are so interesting & another world from the outsides, even cooler through a microscope. Pretty ring!

A mini meteor shower within it; I bet it'll look more interesting when magnified further.

I think andalusite is such an under-rated stone. They are so beautiful and the flashes of red and green are fun, very autumnal I've always thought.

Lovely inclusion photos and sorry about the chip...
