Which ring will sparkle more, something like the white flash, with the diamond elevated above the circle, held in with prongs, or something like the Tiffany where its a prongless piece and the girdle of the diamond is at the same level as the circle of smaller diamonds going around it.
if you have an ideal cut diamond- regardless it will sparkle no matter what you choose. but for the setting it depends on what kind of look you want, I like the frame of the bezel around the center, but if you want an illusion to make your diamond look much larger, then go for the prong.
I am having a new 3 stone ring made and my jeweler said that diamonds sparkle more with prong settings as they let more light enter vs a bezel setting. I love the look of a bezel setting though.
My ring has four double prongs, which are so delicate they can hardly be seen. I think either will have an equal amount of sparkle, depending on the cut of the diamond. Are you trying to replicate the Tiffany ring that you posted?
