So I received the diamonds. Yes, plural lol. I ended buying a 1.89 I SI1 and the 2.11 J SI1 to compare the two.

Definitely agree. There is a noteable difference in size and color. I don’t think it’s as big of as difference I thought. Both great diamonds overall. I’m going to say I’d probably want to split the difference and get a slightly whiter diamond than the 2.11 J, but a slightly bigger diamond than the 1.89 which is a ~8mm diameter.
@ccuheartnurse was nice enough to comment that she sent back her 2.23 J SI1. From what I’ve seen it does seem whiter and falls within my budget. It is an Expert Selection though. I THINK it’s because it has medium fluorescence, but I’m not a 100% sure. The diamond is currently being reappraised by AGS so it’s not back in store yet to be assessed.
Any comments are appreciated.

Yes, the ACA line does not include stones with fluorescence. She seems to feel that it was a white stone so it might be worth the wait to see if it is something you would like.
Would you consider an I color diamond in a 2 carat size? That might give you some more size and a color that you could live with - truly splitting the difference between the two stones you have now.

I have been looking for 2 carat I’s to see what options I have, but they must be very high in price aka out of my budget. Raising my limit to a considerably higher amount to just under 20k (which I don’t want to ask my husband to do), there is only one option just above 2 carats and eye clean says inquire Expert Select. At about a .18 mm increase in size from the 1.89 I don’t want to trade in the eye clean quality. Of course I know there’s a give in take.

Thanks for the confirmation. I do agree, I think that’s my best bet with my budget.
Becca thought it would be best to see the ones I purchased to give a sense of what to expect since this one won’t be back for another two weeks or so. She wasn’t able to see it in person for herself since it was sent out already.

Fluor + a couple of hearts are off, but still a very nice stone.
