In a setting bind!

Hi everyone,

I am planning on proposing at the next of June, and with all of this communities wonderful help I was able to find a great stone through IDJ. Unfortunately, it seems like they may not have the setting she is looking for and was wondering if anyone knew where to find a setting like the one below with out stones set in the bridge area (basket and on the band only). Looking to lean on your advice to see where the best designers are for price/quality ratio. It would need to be able to be set and ready in three weeks, and preferably in platinum!

Reach out to David Klass. I dunno if he can get it done in your time frame, but I am quite certain he can pull this setting off, beautifully!

DK quoted me 35 days for my custom setting. Not saying you will get the same lead time as my design isn't as simple. But maybe it gives you a rough idea. You can call and get an exact lead time. FYI, he's in LA so depending where you are located that could be good or add a little ship time.

This is a very busy time of year for those who produce/sell engagement & wedding rings. Plus, JCK Las Vegas, the trade show which many in the trade in the US view as a must-do, starts Friday.

ID Jewelry is an authorized retailer for, e.g., Gabriel NY and Vatche, and like IDJ, both are based in NYC. So I think you'd be best off looking for a setting from either of them --if one of the benches IDJ uses for its own custom orders is too slammed right now to give hope of meeting your target date. Might Vatche's 1010 appeal to you two? (it's a variation on 1502 that rockysalamander previously posted via a Whiteflash link):

But I think you should be prepared for the possibility that you won't be absolutely guaranteed a turn-around time of less than 3 weeks (accounting for shipping of loose stone, if need be, and delivery of completed ring to you). Would you consider proposing with the diamond alone or with it in a temporary setting?

That ring looks very vatche-ish to me. I'd peruse their catalog. IDJ works closely with them.
