I am looking at buying my gf some diamond hoop earrings. I have seen diamond clarity ranging from SI to VS2. How important is clarity in something like a diamond earing. Is it worth paying a little more for more clear diamonds? Will they sparkle more? Does it even matter with diamonds this small? See picture below of what I am looking at.

Thanks,
Kirk

How good they look/sparkle/perform is mostly dependent on how well they are cut, not on clarity or color.

Cut is king.

I'd shop around for good cut, which may be difficult with diamonds/earrings of that size.

Does Whiteflash sell such earrings with ACAs?

SI is fine.

I haven''t seen any sites that list the quality of the cut. All they ever list is clarity and color.

I found earrings of similar design with ACA, or A Cut Above, diamonds from Whiteflash.
ACAs are superbly cut.

We have an ACA and it is a really really fantastic cut,
It is sooo beautiful and vibrant!
One day a woman noticed it from across the room.
She said she was a jeweler and it was the best-cut diamond she had ever seen.

I do believe these will sparkle like fireworks.

Me too. I have some WF ready set to go PC studs and they sparkle like crazy. I wear them a lot.

For earrings with diamonds that small, I would not worry about clarity so much. SI1 should be good. The way I see it, with diamonds in earrings you will not be inspecting them up close the way that you might admire your own engagement ring. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about WF! Best of luck!

You need to find well-cut stones. Simple as that. I was given a pair of similar earrings that I ended up selling on eBay b/c they were cut so poorly. Because of the cut, the inclusions were visable.

Kenny is right about ACAs being one of the best cuts out there.

Unless the a diamond is well-cut, IMO, there really isn''t any point in owning one.
