Import of loose diamonds to canada

Hello there!

I hope someone can help me by telling me what are the procedures, documentation, taxes and duty fees required when importing loose polished diamonds to Canada from Europe/Middle East.

The diamonds will have the right certifications from country of origin.

I have been doing some research on the customs website of the gvt of Canada and just found some very broad info regarding this topic.

Help is much appreciated by someone with the same experience.

It depends on the vendor I'd think....I'm not sure, but I always thought, you bought the diamond and they shipped it to you with the certification (if it's certified) and maybe an appraisal depending on where you get it from...What vendor are you working with? Have you checked out their policies? I would talk to them....
