I'm going to South Africa. Are diamonds cheaper there?

I'm going on holidays to South Africa. I understand it is the worlds largest producer of diamonds. Does this mean I can get a good bargain or are diamond prices much the same everywhere in the world?

Free if you try prospecting.
If diamonds were cheaaper everyone would buy there and the price would go up.
You will probably never buy cheaper than pricescope, and if you get ripped off you have some consumer protection.
