does anyone know about enhancers for rings? where can i get them from? ijust got engaged n i dont think my setting is high enough n sumone just told me about enhancers. does anyone knows the functions n where i can buy them from?

Enhancers as in a wrap? A wrap is like 2 bands that are connected and go on either side of the ering (or in the case of someone here, had a custom wrap with one band and the 2 sapphires went on either side of the center ering diamond so they appeared as sidestones).

If you want the center diamond on the ering set higher, the ering would have to be changed in some way (altering the head or getting a new setting, etc.). Just know that stones set higher have the tendency to get knocked around a bit more.

I''m not sure exactly what you''re wanting, but maybe someone more knowledgeable than I can offer better advice.

thaanx for your reply. i have great diamond but i felt it isnt sitting too high n was thinking about changing my setting n making it higher. but like u said it get ur diamond knock around easily. my cousin also told me the same thing.

TO ANSWER UR QUESTIION, ISAWSUMONE WITH A RING WITH HIGH SETTING N IT TEND TO STAND OUT N LOOK BIGGER.
WHAT DO U THINK?

I don''t know whether a lower or higher setting would make the stone look bigger.

It''s mostly just personal preference which you choose (but taking into consideration the size of the diamond, the type of setting, and your lifestyle). I typically prefer the look of lower settings, though I do have some high settings (and I do knock them around from time to time).

If you saw the high setting and you felt it stood out more and looked bigger, go for it. You could try some high and some low settings to make sure, but it''s really about what you like. One isn''t inherently "better" than the other.

I used to think like that a long time ago, but now have realized that a stone set up too high looks a little awkward and like you''ve heard, can get banged up quite a bit. If I were you and I wanted my stone to appear bigger there are other alternatives I would suggest. One suggestion would be to put your diamond into a halo setting as this setting is notorious for making the diamond appear larger. In my opinion, ring wraps have the tendency to make a diamond appear smaller because they can get quite bulky (except for the occasional ring wrap I''ve seen on this forum, especially that blue sapphire one from Whiteflash). Also, I believe a thin wedding band makes a diamond appear larger.

my ring is a 1.5 radiant cut but the band is not very thing. is a 1.5 radiant, f clour, vs1 a good size

im sorry. i meant my ering band is not very thin.

A 1.5 radiant is a pretty sizable diamond. I have a 1.5 round that I just pair with a smaller band and I definitely think it makes the diamond appear larger. I would pair it with a thinner wedding band before buying an enhancer. Of course, that won''t work if you''re the sentimental kind

Do you like halo settings?

oh, I see, your e-ring band isn''t that thin. Maybe you should look into a thinner e-ring setting as that will help it appear larger.
