Hello!! I''m finally engaged and finally get to share pics!! I also posted some in the Ladies in Waiting thread, but heck you only get engaged once right? So I''ll post away!!

It''s a 1.64 VS1 G Radiant with a braided pave band that rounds out the ring to an even 2 carats.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments!! I am going to try to take some handshots today. I gave myself a little home manicure before I went to bed last night.

kristydarling- I think I am just going to put a thin plain platinum band next to it. Or that is the idea of the hour anyway. I have been absolutely in love with my setting since I first laid eyes on it in November and I don''t want to detract from it. But at the same time, I don''t think I want to not have a band. I think I really like the idea of having a very simple band that I can wear all the time (sleeping, showering, surfing...) and not having to worry about scratching myself while I sleep or having a stone fall out.

kucinta- When I first joined ps, I shortly after found this setting and could not for the life of me find anything like it. I really appreciated everyone who desperately scoured the internet to help me find one. I finally just asked the jeweler for one. It seems like now that the style is starting to grow in popularity.

ChargerGrrl- I''m sooo happy that I got to have my dream ring. I am super sentimental so this is the ring for me for life. (Anniversary bands however could be in the future somewhere...)

And I don''t know if any of you remember, but way back in the day, my bf asked me what size diamond I wanted. And I told him, "You know what? It seems the older I get, the bigger I want." Haha, I guess I should be happy I waited almost 5 1/2 years before getting engaged because I got exactly what I dreamed of!!

Thanks Catmom!! Thanks for providing me with information from your peridot emerald cut ring. I still love that setting and it was always ''plan B''. Maybe someday I can get one just like it since a peridot is my birthstone. It''s just so classic.
