My now fiance (!!!) proposed on December 21st while celebrating an early Christmas with his family in Maine. I am so thankful to have shared our moment with them, and incredibly happy that I'll be marrying the love of my life! He purchased it from my mom (she's a jeweler) and growing up, I've always had a love for antique cuts, but I've never been lucky enough to own one. Now that I have one on my finger, I'm just in awe over how beautiful and sparkly it is, and so appreciative of OMCs in general. While waiting at the airport for our flight home, a woman came over to compliment my ring since she said, "I could see that fiery beauty across the terminal!"

Thank you all for the lovely replies! I agree, it is SO awesome to have a mom that is a jeweler. She has always picked out nice stones and other jewelry pieces for her clients, as well as our family members and even some of my friends. I applaud her for choosing such a beautiful stone, setting AND wedding bands, and my fiancé applauds her for making it so easy for him! Here are more pictures!
