The prices are gone wasn''t the I a whole lot cheaper?
Yes, but the H is much bigger and slightly whiter.
What I don''t like about it is the 44% pavilion.
1.gif

Long before, when I only bought HRD diamonds, 43.5 was my limit.
But I must say the IS is kicken, it looks better than the 1.05 I-VS2 to me.

Between these first 2 diamonds, will there really be a difference in scintillation as HCA mentions?

Another question:
The red in the table of first IS looks paler than in second one.
Does it mean less light return?

I honestly don't think you would notice much difference, if any Stephan.

On the two IS pics, the first one is a hair lighter overall, not just in the center. Whether it's from lighting/setup or actual light return, it's nothing you would see imho.

Thanks Karl.
I''m more and more convinced to buy the 1.21 H VS2 (because of you
1.gif
).
But if you compare it to the lost F - VS1
H VS2
F VS1
do you see the difference in contrast in the real diamond image?
Or is it only a lighting difference?

I hope it, if I buy it.
I''ll probably receive the 2 last IS pictures tomorrow.
Difficult choice!
I''m not used to work with 41° and bigger pavilions, but we picked some nice stones.

And this one Karl?

thumbs up
Hmmm...
This is the only one with a pavilion < 41°.
HCA is EX.
Looks gorgeous in the picture.
Nice size.
Most of the inclusions can be covered by a prong.
I like the size of the table reflection more than the 1.21 H VS2.
Only negative point: the slightly thick girdle.
I really consider this one.
But I promised Darin that I had no more IS pictures request!
12.gif

If all the diamonds had the same size, color, clarity, price, only different proportions, which one would you choose?
This will end with a poll!

I like the H!!! The IS is gorgeous and I think you will be pleased with the H color in your manitaire!

It was helpful to see those photos from the 2006 thread.

I don''t want to offend the OP of that thread, but I''m not fan of her diamond.
And the more I look at
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/H-VS2-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1249151.asp, the more I hesitate as I said just above your answer.
I had only bad experiences with 44% pavilions.
I wish the original diamond could reappear so I wouldn''t have to choose anymore!

Go with your gut, Stephan (and your previous experience). You''re the one who will be wearing it.

I wish the original could re-appear, too.

My experience is worth something, but not as much as others science and technology.
That''s why I created this thread.
For example: I wouldn''t dare to buy the 1.21 H VS2 without Karl''s green light.

Fire is difficult to guess, I think the new DiamCalc shows very realistic fire but in order to use it I should buy a new computer or graphic card.

If FedEx finds back the original, I''ll ask them to send it back to JA, so JA can control if it is damaged before sending it to me. But after so many days, it won''t happen.
8.gif

I''m still waiting for 2 IdealScope pictures, I guess I won''t receive them today.
So I''ll take a decision next week.

It''s so depressing. My recovery was scheduled: receiving my new ring, going out and having good time (it''s summer in Belgium). But now I stay at home, waiting for e-mails and phone calls from FedEx, and they are not rushed! My family life suffers from it.

My family life suffers from it.

Then your priorities are out of whack.
Family always comes first!
Put on a smile and go spend time with your family and forget about the bit of carbon for a while.
Family is much more important.
If it is effecting things that bad I recommend forgetting it for a couple weeks and come back to it, reply to fedex when it comes in and stop worrying.
We can always find more diamonds.
You can not replace memories built on spending time with your family like you can a bit of carbon.
Once the opportunity with family is gone it is gone, there are thousands of diamonds out there but just one family that is yours.

Hi Karl!
In fact, my family, especially my 65 years old father, worries more than me.
It isn''t that much about finding a diamond.
(And I think you found the right one, just look at the poll that is going on.
2.gif
)
If I don''t go out, it is because of FedEx that doesn''t work fast enough.
For example, I understand that the pictures I''ve sent are clear enough, but I don''t understand why they didn''t ask to look at the box in real life at yet.
I did send the pictures to one contact at FedEx, on Thursday, another man called and wanted me to forward him the same pictures. Can''t they do that on an internal way? I''m the victim and they just don''t show enough respect.
I hate ''on hold'', not resolved situations
But I''m confident.

the same holds true, whether its diamond fever or fedex worry.
Have faith it will work out and go spend some family time!

You are right Karl!
It''s my stupid way.
It was the same before the surgery: 6 weeks of fear!

Hi, Stephan-

I saw that you have a new thread with a poll started, but I wanted to revisit this one. We have a mutual friend in Karl. I really agree with his advice on family. I hope that you can enjoy some quality time with all the people you love. Although 65 sounds very young to me, I do not know if your father is in good health. I hope that he is well as I hope that you and all the other people who matter to you are. I know that you will eventually find the right diamond :-).

Hugs,
AGBF

Thank you AGBF for your good wishes.
My father is in very good condition, but he is a very prudent person.
He finds it quite unsafe to buy diamonds on the Internet, now he is concerned for me.
I am sorry to cause him trouble.
