I''m back after 1 year and now hunting for Wedding Bands (Aussie Buyer)

Hi all, firstly thank you to everyone that was involved in my original thread back in 2008 (click here

Now the wedding is on the 20th of March and I''m in search of some wedding bands. I''d love to hear from people regarding where to best hunt for wedding bands as I''ve found its slightly harder than the engagement ring search. I don''t mind buying from overseas buyers either.

We''d both like them to be white gold and at the moment that''s probably the only preference.

Hey guys,

Did the rounds at the local jewellers in Adelaide and was pretty disappointed with the service and range of rings. Half the time I felt like I knew more than what the sales lady was spewing out of the mouth.

My question is, I''m looking now at e-wedding bands.com and whiteflash for the bands. Have I left it too late to order from the States? The wedding is in 65 days (March 20)?

I''ll be back today to discuss some ideas etc for the rings

What type of ring do you want? I have used e-weddingband.com and if I was buying an all metal band I would go with them. Great product and great service. If I were getting diamonds I would choose WF or Brian Gavin Diamonds. My diamond half eternity is from BGD and I love it. It is called the Dream Band if you were interested and you can find it with a search. Anyways, call the company you decide to work with directly and tell them your timeline. I think you should have no trouble getting what you want in time.

If you are looking at WF standard pieces, you definetly havnt left it too late - I would contact them now and have a chat - I have been dealing with Sheerah and she is great.

For custom pieces it shoud also be fine, but it would be best to talk to them sooner rather than later to see about timelines.

I havnt dealt with the other vendor, but again if you are just ordering their current stock that should be here in plenty of time, just check with the SA.

Alrighty after a weekend of buying household items (moving into the new house in a few months) I've again got a spare moment to discuss the wedding bands. At the end of this post I've linked the album which holds some detailed photos of the engagement ring and using that hopefully some of the PS's here might be able to give further suggestions for the wedding band.

My fiance loves the pave look and we found that a 2.5mm to a 3mm width of band really suited her finger. At the moment we are definitely learning towards white gold.

(Note: She is also open to the channel set style but just hasn't found anything local that caught her eye)

For myself I'm looking at a wedding band with a 6mm width and 1.5mm thickness. A favourite design I've seen at the local store is a predominately white gold band with two thin stripes of gold on one side of the band. The other look is the yellow gold in the middle with the white gold on either side, however this look is so common I wouldn't mind something unique.
