No really. I'm getting over the flu right now. But to entertain my sick and twisted self, I decided to search for highly included ECs on JA to see just what kind of yuck is available. Then I came across this beaut.

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/emerald-cut/0.51-carat-g-color-si1-clarity-sku-2185107

It's certainly not the most included in the bunch, but it does have a gigantic window.

Like, see the texture of the paper behind it kind of window. This thing is so deep that the girdle is near impossible to pick out on the side view.

I've determined that this stone is well-suited for the narcissist who would rather see their finger than the diamond sitting on it.

Anyway, it's good for a laugh, if you're a sicko like me. Hope everyone is having a good last day to the holiday weekend.

Oh my!!!

I like to find "odd" - for lack of a better word stones too...Mostly I try to find what is the largest stone I can find that is tolerable within a certain
amount of money (like say $2500 or $5000 or whatever). You can find some really unique stones.

That's pretty bad! lol! Hope you'll be well soon!

.

The flat bottom that makes for the window ... would let it work as a rose cut - in the modern style of those ...

_

BTW. I might be caught setting the search parametes for D/I1 - looking for the apparently impossible 'white' (just one .3 dot turned up & even that ... ). Of course, this is not the right way to go about such a search ... & I am too particular !

A rose cut did cross my mind when I saw this...thing.
And ooooh I want to play with opposite qualities too, like D/I1! How fun. :evil2:

IHMO, the nicest of these are something else ... I have mentioned my only one nice find of a 'fancy white' stranded among the D/I1s at JA somewhere around here, and it ... dissapeared ... .-(

If you ever wished to see what GIA names for clarity charactersitcs stand for, only a grading class might be better than this browsing exercise (if you do not HATE optical microscopes, as I do).

Lol, my 9 year old is always like why are you looking at diamonds? Uh, it’s fun...duh.

LOL! My DH calls it my ring shopping when I'm reading the forum. Um, hardly, honey, I'm learning.

Haha, this is exactly what I did when I got sick of looking at diamonds for my wee project. I would go on JA and look for the weirdest or ugliest stone I could.

This one looks like something snow whites stepmother might frame and use as a tiny mirror...

Love this thread. Hilarious!
