To answer some Qs about the Octavia...
For the past 6 months Yoram (thanks for the effort Yoram:clap:) have been trying to find a good rough to cut a G/H VS Octavia for me, but Yoram said is hard to compete against the big Indian cutters for roughs in the 7ct range, b/c they have the buying power to buy 10-20 piece lots. The Emails that I have been receiving from Yoram don't sound too promising of finding a rough soon, so I have decided to go with a CBI instead.

Don't get me wrong an Octavia is a beautiful stone! :love: and I wouldn't chose any other fancy cut over an Octavia, but you'll never know if a 2.75 ct Octavia pops up in the future and if I had the $$$ it would definitely be on my finger.

Pros and cons about owning an Octavia...
Pros...no doubt about it, it is a beautiful stone :love::love: and I would never regret of owning one.

Cons...It would be next to impossible to upgrade if you have DSS. :whistle:
So for now I'm stuck with a 2+ ct CBI...:whistle:;)2

Wink said a 2.60ct is ready to be graded but of course there is a price jump for any stone above 2.5ct...;(

A tension setting similar to the one on my Octavia.
 
I had thought Yoram's latest sinker might have something to do with your quest for a big deal step cut.

This made me smile... if there has to be a trade off, let it be a gorgeous CBI! Congrats on the new stone, however, I am hopeful one of the 2.5cts will steal your heart! :kiss2:
 
Waiting? Really? Small table, great angles and just under the 2.5ct price?
I wouldn't wait. I bet that the 2 other diamonds will have bigger tables.

Beautiful ... this stone I’ve been eyeing forever too but was convinced to stick with my stone (2.07) as the size jump wasn’t very noticeable especially when set. My heart has skipped multiple beats knowing this is now gone lololol. Congrats :kiss2:

Any pics of your ring?. I was going to recommend your 2.07 ct to my daughter's BF but you beat me to it, congrats!. Anyhow, he ended up buying a 2.05ct med blue fluor stone from BGD.
