IGI Reporting

Hello,

I bought a ruby in an auction that came with an IGI report that states the following:

Color 3.0, tone 85, MI and Weight 1.3 cts

Dominant color red with purple/orange modifiers


and a report from Gemological Laboratory Information is this:
Dated March 19, 1984

One natural corundum natural ruby

Good proportion
Moderate INcluded
Color grade of Red Transparent- very good 3.0


and estimated retail replacement in 1984 was 10,500.00

Does this stuff actually mean anything?
