If you have a fixed bezel pendant (or the BGD Fixed bezel)

A few questions:

Do you think this fixed bezel pendant would be comfortable? I am wondering if folks find that the culet pokes your skin?

Do you think this design is safe enough from harm/chipping? I am guessing that because it is on the neck and there is far less interaction with hard surfaces = should be fine.

If anyone has this design or one like it, do you find that it stays forward facing? Or does it flip on you?

Chain thickness: I contacted BGD customer service and they confirmed that this design is such that it appears like it is floating on the neck. I would prefer a more visible chain. What mm size do you think would accomplish that (not floating, visible)? I think she said the current chain is 2mm wide. What would accomplish the look I want? 1.5x thicker? Double? More than double?

Thanks!

I currently have a bezel pendant that is boxy and not a fixed design. I thought I would like it but the setting is meh to me and I never move it to other chain lengths so having it on a fixed chain appeals to me.

I am trying to decide between an improved bezel or just putting the stone in a RHR.

I have this one and did a review March. It only pokes me when I'm wearing a shirt that it goes under. I only have the issue of it riding up my back. I think bc it is .35 and if it was bigger it wouldn't be an issue. My mother has .50 one and I wore it and it does not ride up.

Thanks! This is helpful.

This is my 1 carat fixed bezel pendant set in platinum. Stays put and the culet does not poke. I feel that the weight of the platinum keeps it in place. :wavey:

What size are you considering?

I have a 1 carat I want to reset. (1.02, maybe?)

It's blah in its current bezel pendant. I'd love a fixed style of some kind. The BGD one is pretty but I wondered about the back poking.

(I would get a 16" length, so it would touch my skin much of the time.)

Queenie - love it! It looks so substantial, too! Edit: Do you happen to know how thick your chain is?

I may go for the BGD in rose gold. Maybe I can get them to use a thicker chain so it doesn't have the floating look.

Not sure of the chain thickness. I'll look it up this weekend and get back to you. Maybe Monday or so.
