I'm not so sure I* like the inclusion on the table of the G. My 50ish year old eyes may not be able to pick it up but if you have
younger eyes you may be (?) able to pick it up and sometimes once you see an inclusion its hard to un-see it.
I do like the extra size you gain with the G though.

And the spread of #1 is difficult to ignore....
The video will help to confirm or eliminate it based upon the inclusion.

The inclusions in 1 are more distracting to me than those in 2. Assuming the asets were done consistently between the two, again I prefer 2 over 1. However, from the videos, I think I prefer the center of 1, in terms of on/off patterning, as the center of 2, at least in the video, seems muted to me. My 2cs.

What is your budget and does it have to be JA?

The muting in the center does concern me. I would like more sparkly fire than flashes of white light. Would the contrasting blue in H's ASET image denote any fire at all? I've been studying for awhile and I'm definitely still a novice!

Our budget is $3,000. We are open to other jewelers. We just really like the fact that with James Allen we don't have to pay taxes in our state, we can browse the diamond catalog ourselves, and view ASET images. We looked at Blue Nile Astor but it looked like the cushions were all facing up much smaller, and with Blue Nile we would only be able to afford 3/4 or less of a carat for a diamond that faces up much smaller. I assume the Astor gets its brilliance from having a higher depth percentage?

I compromised on Color and Clarity. I don't want to compromise on Cut, as I feel like this cut is already a compromise. I really wanted a Brilliant Cushion (Modern) with the chunky facets, while these appear to be a kind of Modified Brilliant.
