I would like a warmer colour largish Daussi cushion in a halo.
This one is from DBL and is at the right price point. I like it a lot.
If you asked me this a year ago, I'd have said something totally different. My cravings change! I've wanted a Daussi ring for a long time now though, so it's my current pick.
K VS2 1.53ct- I am fond of that colour point, no real fondness for very white or much more tinted. I could live with a lower clarity, but this is fine. Nice size for me for dress-up occasions. Yes. This one please.
Thanks!

I would first set my lowest acceptable color and clarity grades -- making sure to stay in "mind clean" range. Then I would look for the largest size within those parameters.
I''d set the stone in a Harry Winston replica with clear, crisp white baguettes.
I'd probably go three stone (and might in the not-too-distant future
). Either an H&A round (G-H, SI1) with pear sides, a center cushion with cushion or half moon sides, or a center emerald cut with EC or trap sides. Simple, fluid platinum setting with claw prongs, either BGD, WF or Leon, if a Leon creation was in budget and I was feeling particularly brave.
I''d get the biggest RB I could buy that''s eye-clean and G in color (SI1), ideal cut, ($8K) then would put it in a platinum Tiffany Etoile-replica setting ($2K). It would look enormous!!!
The biggest RB I could find in the D-H, VS2 - S11 range, plop it in the double pronged Grace setting, and get the actual Tiffany Jazz band to go with it.
Ditto but minus 50%. Great plan! But the piggie in me would stop there, I would take the "jazz idea fund" and apply it to the RB to get an even bigger RB. (oink oink-that is the piggie in me.)
Keep the "Jazz" plan, cuz it is a good one, but pull it out say for Christmas or the next gift excuse.
A diamond that would be in the $10K range would be larger than I''d be comfortable wearing. There is no way I''d wear a 1.5 or abouts.
So, I take the question is the $10K has to be spent entirely on just the eng ring or does that include a wedding band, as well?
If it was just the eng ring, I''d either get a H&A F VS2 size .90 and find a simple setting with a pave around the band (but not around the diamond - no halo setting for me!) or a 1 ct diamond from Tiffany & Co., in that simple setting.
I would want it a RB, just under 1 ct, color F-G, and VS2. Platinum setting. Tiff probably wouldn''t offer that combo for $10K.
Luckily since I''m married, I could take a month or two to think about exactly what I''d want.
I saw this ring once on DBL and I am in love with it. sadly it sold very quickly so I didn't get a chance to jump
So my idea would be about .75-1 carat S-X range sqarish raidant cut stone set in either yellow or pink gold (depending on tone) prongs. On either side is about .25 carat asscher cut stones. I would want all the stones to be VS1 and above in clarity though I would prefer the side stones to be F in color but I would take G if that is what I could get. Nothing lower than that to make sure I see a good contrast in color. I don't know how much this would cost, but I would positively love it! The size and look over all would be my dream ring!
I''d harness my inner diva and get a fancy (vivid?) yellow emerald or asscher not below VS2, carat negotiable. For me it''d come down to the shade and exact facet patterning. I''d want an awesome yellow hall of mirrors. I''m not sure how I would set it. I''ve never owned a step cut so I can''t speculate on that. I would make it into a cocktail ring.
If that wasn''t available, I''d get a very well cut champagne modern round brilliant for a pendant, either in the light champagne or cognac range.
I would buy three august vintage rounds, JKL color VS2-SI2 clarity, as big as I could get, and have them set in a Leon three stone with some some simple single cut pave and maybe some engraving...super yum!!!!
I would get an G, SI1 marquise, as large as I could find: say, perhaps, this one from Abazias at 1.71 carats. It''s currently going for under 7K (which, may I point out - nice price!). I would then get an Green Lake Jewelry Works charges, but I''m hoping that would cover it. If there was anything left over, I''d consider getting a nice custom-fit band to go along with it, if I ever felt like switching it up with my e-ring instead of wearing it as a RHR!
1ct H&A AGS triple ideal VS2 G diamond with a Tacori setting. That''s exactly what we''re getting. We''re around $1400 over the 10k budget though, but I wouldn''t change a thing.
Well it looks like 10k is real close to what I''m about to spend on a custom ring from Eightstar. It''s going to have 3 of thier squared stones in a tapered setting running lengthwise down my finger. I''ll be posting pics as the project unfolds.
