In February I''m getting $1000. I could possibly add to that and have about $1300.

What would you get in the diamond department with this kind of budget?

I was contemplating getting a solitaire, even though I have an e-ring, I''ve always liked the idea of a solitaire, and then some day when I have enough $ I can buy another one and make them into EARRINGS!

I also considered a bezel set pendant. Or even a very tiny eternity band.

WWYD? Pics are links are welcome!

Thanks!

I have 1.5ctw studs and I love them. But if I had $1K I think I would get some cute little bezel set studs to wear when I travel or dont'' want the bigger look. I tihnk they would be adorable.

ooooh! I wish i had 1.5 studs!!!

but you''re right, I was eyeing those bezel set studs- they are cute!!

I would get some simple platinum set studs nothing to big but well cut obviously :)

either that or a pendant possibly :)

I would get the WF diamonds by the yard necklace.

But I am biased because I don''t have my ears pierced!

Ditto! I have some .48 ctw studs and I was thinking of bezeling them. However, they're not that great of quality (bought by my lovely parents who know NOTHING of diamonds) so I don't know if it's worth it

I''d definitely get some studs.

Hi,

I just had a budget of around that (I spent a few hundred more) and bought a WF solitaire pendant. I wanted a simple item that I can enjoy for years.

The Diamonds-by-the-Yard is *really* cute, but in the $1K style, the diamonds look really tiny. If you added the other $1,300, you could get an amazing necklace.

Have fun picking out something.

LOL! I bet she wishes she had $2300 total...it sounded to me like she could add $300 and have $1300 TOTAL. But I like the way you think MC.

For $1300 I''d either get a pair of bezel set studs or 1 larger diamond for a bezel pendant. OR a WF shared prong bangle.

hahaha oops, where is my coffee and calculator? Clearly I am not awake enought to do simple math on my own.

Diamond stud earrings. I actually did get 0.85 ctw studs in platinum earlier this year for about $1,300. Story and pictures here. Link

My first choice would be the WF diamond bangle then DBTY necklace. Or diamond studs (if you don''t have a pair already).

Honestly, I''d probably save the 1k. Boring answer I know. But for myself I always find that the best thing to do is decide what I want and then save the money to buy it rather than figure out what $$ I have and then find something to spend it on. I''m never happy in the end when I do that.

That said I''d love to have a diamonds by the yard necklace.

Diamond studs!! Either bezel or not, I like both.

I''d go for some bezeled earring beauties like the ones I just got! I got 2 I/VS2 .308 ES diamonds from WF and got the handmade bezel setting in 14k white gold. I wear them everyday and I love them! Let me see if I can find a pic...

Here''s an earshot:

A diamond bezel pendant in palladium. Biggest and best cut I could go for the $ in an eye-clean J SI2.

I love the idea of diamond studs, but I lose my earrings left and right! I can't be trusted with anything but the cheapies.

Most likely diamond studs, but if I had stacking rings (which I want) I might add another to the stack.
