Thanks! I wanted something unique. I really need one of the awesome PS photographers to visit me b/c my photos do not do her justice.

There are so many gorgeous rings here, but Surfgirl's came to mind first. I still adore that ring even though I haven't seen a pic of it in years, it seems.

I believe that it is SurfGirl's of which she speaks. It was a large transitional cut in an antique setting that had half moons and baguettes. Sweet ParrotTulips used it as inspiration in the ring she had Singlestone make for her with a lovely OEC. Both are beautiful rings, but not exactly the same. You can still see ParrotTulips' beauty...the search function is wonky on PS right now, though! I was surprised by SG's reaction as well...the be honest, I hadn't even noticed the whole of her setting....I was too enamored with the checkerboard facets of that stunning transitional cut! What was it...2, 3 cts? *swoon* :love:
 
My favorite e-ring is definitely LFVDoll's. I just love those pinched corners. I tried to post a picture of it, but had no success. It seems we can't copy and drag a photo on PS 2.0

I too love LVFDoll's e-ring, but I also love KristyDarling's as well.

I have said it before and I'll say it again...the situation with SG's ring was handled very badly. For two of SG's friends to come into PT's SMTR thread and talk of SG's displeasure was tacky and tasteless. SG's ring was purchased intact from a jeweler. The jeweler was not Singlestone. She had no rights to the design. I can understand her being upset and have sympathy for her feelings. I cannot understand the events that took place afterward. Yes, she pulled her threads. How many people had already copied them? When SG addressed my concerns about her friends actions [in that thread] and she defended them, I was shocked. This is a woman I considered to be a PS friend. Evidently, I was mistaken.

You know, I never got the fascination with her ring, but if I could snatch that center stone I would in a heartbeat. I get little flutters when I think of her amazing transitional.

Uppy's JM 3 stone, Freke's Big Blue for starters. I'd never be able to pick one. Never in a million years.

Yssie's! I'm not sure if I would ever copy it because it might be too adventurous for me (I am a low-risk person, my ring is a simple RB on a pave band), but if I had a chance to borrow a PSer's ring for a day it would be Yssie's without a doubt! I've visited (and admired) her ring thread more number of times than I have anyone's...including my own!
 
I agree Risingsun, it really was a shame.

Yes! That is my dream ring too! Now that you mention it, I am certain. Whenever I try on fakies I am drawn to rings with those proportions. I would feel like a movie star with a ring like that!

Kama would you want a honkin' big center too in your dream ring or would you really perhaps one day consider making a three stone of your current diamond?

I saw some pics of it long ago in lurkerdom, and I don't get it either. Don't get me wrong, it's gorgeous, but with all the amazing designs on this site, it's strange to me that it's the one that keeps coming up. Maybe it's just not my style. Nice stone though.
 
I visited Yssie's 3 stone thread the other day, so mayhaps I should add it to my list as well. I like when I see rings that give me the shivers. My problem is I can't always remember who the owners of the rings are!
 
Musey hasn't posted much in a long time, but I've always LOVED her ring.
