I wanted the traditional spelling and DH wanted the Indian one. We finally agreed on the irish spelling as a compromise
I am intrigued as to what name has a traditional, an Irish and an Indian spelling?!

Ditto.

Dylan (traditional spelling), Dhillon (indian), Dillon (irish/gaelic- and the spelling we gave our son) :))

Ah, lovely. Interesting! It's a surname over here but I really like it as a first name.

I like Dylan a lot! My baby CPK's name is Dylan Ryan!

I made a list of my top five names handed it over and told him he could choose from that list. He never came up with any suggestions of his own, just went with it, and we ended up picking a name we both loved (he actually didn't like it at first, but it grew on him). We'll do the same if we have another child.
