what round loose diamond would you buy yourself?

there''s lots out there, depending on what is most important to you, but if I was in the want to be large camp and near colorless I''d go for this:

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2176278.htm#

and pair it with this...

http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Solitaire/-Legato--Sleek-Line-Diamond-Solitaire_1118.htm

or this if you want six prongs...

http://www.whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Solitaire/Classic-Tiffany-Style-Knife-Edge_1137.htm

and call it a day...

keep it simple and let her have the option to upgrade or change her setting come the first anniversary or later.

Great upgrade policy too

from WF it doesn''t hurt to have the options to upgrade in the future

I like that stone. I was looking at an SI1, I a little bigger but it gave up cut quality to get there.

Okay I''ve heard a ton on Blue Nile''s rep.

What would be better - consider the blue nile stone is a few hundred less

http://www.bluenile.com/build-your-own-diamond-ring?pid=LD01594966&forceStep=DIAMONDS_STEP

or the original white flash suggestion

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-2176278.htm#

the blue nile rock is a 1.7 on the cut adviser and the white flash is a 1.1

the HCA is a rejection tool usually less than 2 is good, nothing says that 1.1 is better than a 1.7. The stone from bluenile looks nice, but you have a disadvantage of not being able to see any images of the stone, They are more a drop shipper company that actually do not have the stone in house. Keep in mind that you will not have the advantage of the upgrade policy either whereas from WF you get 100% upgrade towards a new stone whether you new stone cost $100 more or $10000 more you get the full value of what you paid towards your upgrade.

The pavilion of the bluenile is 41.0 degree which is probably the max I would look for, a slight variance of the pavilion may change the look of the stone completely

Okay.

D&T how does it feel to do in 10 minutes what I''ve been trying to do for the past month. You found my girl''s stone.

Thank you and god bless : )

you are most welcome...

By the way it is only $130 difference (PS plus wire discount) in the ACA stone plus you get a magnificent upgrade policy to go along with it

wow, those are some good choices
I too wish it was that easy

Good job D&T!

Come back with handshots when you get your ring!

It has to be a round, so I'd get this .806 ct D VVS1 ACA since you asked for opinions.

If it had to round---1.30ct K VS2
(my first choice was a cushion)
