More like this... but with a thicker circle. Couldn't figure out how to change the circle width!

That would be pretty, or you could have the pear hanging from the sapphire from inside the circle?

Ooh, that''s a clever idea

I love the idea of my ering gold still being circular (ie ring-shaped) even though it''s not going to be my ering any more.

I know I will almost certainly upgrade my diamond one day - so I can''t get sentimental about the diamond (unless I win the lottery!)... so at least the mount can be reused and kept forever.

I think that is a lovely idea with the old setting, and the symbolism about continuing the shape!
